Wrong receiver strength: could this be why my infinio spheres suck?

I have just discovered my audiologist accidentally ordered me custom c shells that are POWER strength, and not MEDIUM.

I only have a 40-60 decibel hearing loss. Could this be why I have been having such a difficult time? Can someone describe the problems that arise when programming with the wrong receivers?

No, power is fine for you. When receivers are too powerful you can start to hear some circuit noise, but modern sonova receivers are very quiet.

What’s the problem that you are having? Are these your first set or are you already experienced?

After the REM it worked really well. I asked her to make it quiet in the room when I am bluetooth streaming so I mostly just hear the audio. She called phonak and someone walked her through it and she sort of somehow lowered the settings for everything and everything’s quiet again. after the initial REM even talking was pretty loud to me. after whatever she did i can literally scream and it’s not even close to too loud for me

Have you told her that? Seems an easy fix. If settings were saved between those steps it would be a very easy roll back, if not she could just redo REM.

I did but when she rolled back the settings it stayed the same. It’s a two hour drive to see her because at the time I couldn’t find REM near me.

Oof, sorry, I don’t think there’s…Hmm, I don’t know that you can transfer a fitting remotely with the app. Although if she has the correct fitting saved then she could just screen shot the gain profile and recreate that remotely. My concern is that if she made that second change in the same session, the settings you like we’re actually wiped out. If that’s the case it will have to be redone from scratch.
