Does anyone use Oticon miniFit Domes on Phonak? They seem to fit well on a Phonak receiver…
I added a couple pictures.
Also (vice versa) Phonak Domes seem to work well on Oticon miniFit receivers.
As long as they fit and your aid is programmed for the appropriate style(open/closed) of dome I don’t see any reason why not.
This kind of interchangeable flexibility is GOOD NEWS! I’ve got Widex 10mm power domes on my Oticon Opn miniRITE aids - and they work PERFECT! I had even looked at Phonak power domes online before my aud-guy got the Widex power domes. Good to know they would’ve probably worked out, too. I had also tried a Widex tulip dome on the Opns (still in trial with them). They were even more comfortable, but just didn’t work out in terms of seal in my ear canal. There is a LOT of stuff up at Amazon.com & other websites selling these kinds of parts & items: domes, leashes, wax guard, etc., Makes it easier than having to traipse back to the HA dispenser’s for this and that.
Yes, except I don’t have to pay any more money for them from the audiologist.
Update: I have had success with occluded/tulip domes. But Open domes might get more feedback/squeal when you switch brands.
I wear oticon minifit 8mm open domes with v90’s and have no problems with that.
As an aside Target generates a slightly louder profile for open domes than closed. Yup, I’ve done that. Also I have worn Phonak closed domes with the Target open dome profile. Eh, not much to see here using my age related high frequency profile.
