Will Bluetooth 6 improve Phonak I90 R Sphere use?

I’m asking because the new iPhone 17 series has added Bluetooth 6 support, and I’m wondering if it might benefit the Phonak aids I am hoping to get soon. (Previous iPhones supported Bluetooth 5.3, or older.)

Perhaps any new benefits would need firmware updates to the aids, or perhaps they won’t be seen at all until new models of Phonak aids reflect them?

One obvious one is that the “find hearing aid” tool might be more accurate. Some accounts indicate that using Bluetooth 6 this now resolves down to a centimetre or two.

More important to me is if there is likely to be any improvement to Bluetooth connectivity issues a number of users have reported. I experienced this while using a ‘loan’ aid for a short time. I only had two devices connected in total, so it was never a case of not shutting down potentially competing connections in my case. I never had a chance to explore the issue deeply.

I’ve also seen mention of (potential) lower latency.

I doubt it because it seems to have BT 5.3. New Bluetooth capabilities usually require the other device in the connection to have the same or higher Bluetooth version.
