I’ve got Widex A/S Moment 440s. I do like them, but they are awfully loud and a bit harsh when they first start up. I created a program that’s like Universal, but with lower volume and a little less treble. But when I take them out of the charger the next morning, they are back to Universal. Is there a way to get my custom program to be the default?
You could get your local clinic to make the adjustments or just make it a DIY project, as these are your first HAs its actually quite normal to feel things are “too loud” to begin with, it’s something you’ll get used to over time, you haven’t heard at this level for a long time so your brain has to adjust.
Not through the app. The startup program is determined in the programming software, and the hearing aids will revert to that program on restart. Although acclimation is necessary, it is possible for the programmer to approximate app changes in your startup program.
As others have said, not through the app but I was able to re-order the list of programs with the fitting software.
That. said, a better approach would be to contact the specialist who setup your HAs (Or DIY) and setup the acclimation option (In Widex ,you can start fitting for an experience or inexperienced user). This will allow the volume to increase in time, allowing you to get used to the HAs.
