As most hearing aid user knows, our hearing loss increases progressively with time.
My right side of the Widex EVoke 330 (312) needs a replacement because it stopped working. The origninal has the option M as (M2R) with 2 pins plug. I was thinking to get a more gain one
to improve the loudness. Is P2R good for me or the P just represents rechargeavle ?
Hi there, could you post your audogram as this will help with advice, but in most yes nothing wrong with using a P (Power) over the M (Medium Power)
The audio-program disappeared from the PAMF health records
after 1 year.
I can only remember that the specialist who sold me the Widex Evoke (312) said my left side has 50% and right side may have 63% loss.
For your expert advice, do you think that the P2R could be a good choice.
(Also, the Apple Ipad is a very tempting devices for trial)
A genuine thanks for your reply.
Yeah unfortunately it’s not possible for us to say, I mean without the audiogram it’s hard to know for certain, are you using domes or molds at the moment?
Mr. tenkan,
I am using the M2R with double-dome ear-tip for my Widex Evoke v330 Fusion (E-FS)(312) not rechargeable
Also, I do understand the merit of electronic devices which restore
some portion of your “natural” hearing.
Thanks again
Ok so those domes would fit on the P receiver, have you tried the click sleeve types, these are really good and easy to use, a cross between a dome and a mold.
Thank you so much
I do not know what is a click sleeve type dome?
Also, I think I need the Widex V1 right side P2R piece.
The price seems around US$100 of which I hope if I could find
a lower-priced one.
Also, do you think Apple Ipad is out of consideration with your expert advice/info
Thanks again
V1 (tan) S/M/P receivers will fit in your Evoke devices. The V2 receivers, which have a more metallic casing, are specifically for Widex’s Moment platform rechargeable devices i.e. mRIC, sRIC, SmartRIC. Widex’s domes will work on V1 or V2 receivers interchangeably.
Whenever you switch receivers, especially from M to P, reprogramming and verification is important. The hearing aids are not smart enough to recalibrate themselves for different receivers.
Mr PauC,
I really and sincerely thank you for your info/advice. I have
scheduled a ear check-up in 2025.
I am thinking the boosting the power level can be manipulated through 4 gain-settings thru my left and right aids built-in control.
My present device is M2R for loss up to mild-severe loss.
Hopefully it works with P2R
