Widex closed, round single or double vent domes for music?

Can’t really tell if I can hear the difference between the Widex closed, round, single and double vent for music or not,so anyone here compared the two versions for music listening only with Widex Moment 440 RIC?.I ‘think’ the bass is less pronounced with the two vent domes, not really sure and I get zero feed-back with either type(single, double vent). Thanks,Huck

Get some power domes.

Thanks…these power domes have no vent holes…correct? …also what is the advantage of using the “power domes”?.Huck

Also curious about this!

I have custom molds. My audi said that blocking the vents boosts bass and gives a richer, more full sound for music. As such, I brought home some plastic vent plugs. I play classical guitar. When I plugged the right HA vent (that ear has the worst hearing by far)–indeed, the sound became fuller and better. there was no impact on feedback–and I have feedback manager turned off on my music program. My voice sounded the same. However, when I blocked the left vent, it created a lot of issues. My audi said it was possible that the aids would have to be reprogrammed with blocked vents. I didn’t want to do that. So, I’ve just kept it simple and gone with the one vent blocked. Leaving teh other open allows sound into the ear. And that ear has very good hearing.

Keeps low frequencies from leaking out of your ear canal.

But wait, music listening or music streaming?

For Neville: “But wait, music listening or music streaming?”
Both…I thought they were both the same thing?.
Streaming using an actual streamer into a 2.1 system, not streaming to a Smart phone or other portable device. :grinning:Thanks,Huck

Keep in mind that no vent will take time to adjust to. Your ears will feel stuffed up. But you’ll get used to that with a little time

If you’re streaming directly to the hearing aids then it helps to plug the ear to get more bass. If you’re listening normally, it matters less so long as you are getting sufficient low frequency gain for your hearing loss which, at your level of loss, will depend on your ear size/shape.

I usually just use my HA’s to listen to music on my main stereo rig,so will I have more bass if I use the no vent domes and what advantage,if any, would I get to if I used these power domes for ‘everyday use’,if I need them in…right now my HA’s are in the charger. Thanks,Huck

You only wear your aids when you use the stereo, interesting . Of course that’s not a good way to do things. But since that’s the case why not adjust the bass in the stereo
