I know they are just out, but does anybody know if the new Allure and its application offer tinnitus programs such as Zen? I was going to demo a pair but was told that the Allure doesn’t offer any tinnitus features. I find this highly unusual since Widex is supposed to be a leader in this area. I’m currently trialing the SmartRic 440 but was hoping the Allure would fit me better with their more traditional shape. I need a tinnitus feature and if the Allure doesn’t offer that might consider trying the Moment 440.

The Zen is a standalone app that works with any hearing aid that can stream audio form your phone.
The built-in tinnitus relief isn’t anything special.

I thought Zen was a Widex specific therapy setting within the Widex Moment application that the audiologist programs for Widex HAs. At least that is what my experience has been with the SmartRic. Not like the Starkey Relax application that I have installed on my iPhone that I can stream via bluetooth to the SmartRic. I’ve been told that none of the Zen settings are available for the Allure.
OK, I found the Zen app in the iPhone store. I’ll have to ask what the difference is.
The app in the Apple Store is different than what I’m talking about.

As of right now, the Allure does not have built-in or programmable Zen programs. On bringing this up with one of our reps she said it was “coming” and it is currently being revamped. There is a separate Widex Zen app that you can stream to the hearing aids, but it is not as customizable as I would prefer. I personally like the apps myNoise and Resound Relief. Although needing Zen as a programmed program(?) is becoming less necessary with the advent of wireless streaming, it would be preferred to have access to those sounds without an internet connection.

Thanks Paul. I’ll relay that to my provider. I might want to revisit the Allure. I wonder what the revamped Zen will be and if it will also be available with the Moment 440.
