Can someone confirm that the Allure has to use the iPhone as the microphone during phone calls?

For the previous generation, this was the case. I was told by a Widex tech support guy that this time around, you could use the HA’s as mics for the Allures. That’ll b exciting if indeed the case.
I can confirm that Allures use their microphones for phone calls. I can walk far away from my phone and people still hear me talking.
What is the quality of the sound? Do people hear you clearly?
They said it sounded normal, but I just did a test on my VM and it wasn’t as clear as when I use the iPhone microphone. The Allures’ microphones sound a bit quieter with more echo.
