Widex hearing aids I have 330 with 12 channels and i’m considering upgrade to a 440 with 16 channels to see if is worth the money I have tinnitus really bad
The tinnitus features are the same.
The 440 has more features regarding how it handles different sound environments.
The 440 has speech in noise and wind noise reduction. They do offer the best all round sound experience. Not sure re tinnitus features.
Widex offer a free app that you can download onto your iPhone (not sure about Android phones) which you then run to generate relaxing sounds that may help alleviate your tinnitus.
The app is called Widex Zen. This app is independent of what model of Moment HAs you have.
Just FYI the 440 is no longer the latest model, this is now the smart RIC as far as I’m aware. They are supposed to sound a lot nicer than the 440s, although as has been said, the tintus features will be the same.f
I believe the 440 is the top level specification for any Widex aid-Smartric/Moment/Evoke etc. 110//220/330/440 refers to the features included within the aid.
Other than form factor and battery is Smart Ric actually improved over Moment?
A user on the forum indicated that they felt they sounded a lot nicer. There is also the l shaped design which is supposed to give better speech clarity, pluss less wind and handling noise on the mics. I believe their IP rating is also higher than the previous models but could be wrong about that. I personally have not tried them. Oh the buttons are gone, that’s a big minus as far as I’m concerned but your milage may vary on that one.
Only you’d be able to know for sure if you did a trial, I doubt there’s anything that is going to be a game changer.
