Why is my Open Sound Booster permanently on? It won’t turn off!

I have the Oticon Xceed and read about the Open Sound Booster but when I opened the App, it was already on and when I switched it off, it went back on straight away.

Is that meant to happen? I tried multiple times.

I don’t really want to keep playing with the App but wanted to play around at first.

I read that Open Sound Booster shouldn’t be permanently on, am I correct?

Is there a way to turn it off?
Has my hospital set something incorrectly?

In the Mores - Sound Booster is turned off and on.
Make sure you are swiping the App Off. You may have more than one ON App running in the background.
Try Rebooting your phone.

I’ve always fully closed all Apps for years. Hate leaving things open.

Every time I open the App, it’s switched on. Switching it off, it then turns back on.

I have the email for my audiology clinic if needed, to ask them.

Not sure I’ll actually use it, I’m just more playing around and trying to understand everything.

Rebooting my phone, is that turning it off and on? I switch it off every night.

Do You have an iPhone? Rebooting actually clears out the caches, etc and “fixes” things not working correctly. It is more than turning off the phone.

I have an iPhone 12.

I hate it when people say use google :grinning:
But… There are different ways to reboot your iPhone 12.
Here is one:
Preferred Method

  1. Press and hold the Side button (top right edge) and either Volume Button.
  2. When “slide to power off” appears, release buttons.
  3. Slide the Power switch right.
  4. With the device powered off, press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears then release.

Did it Fix it? (Technical term)

You should be able to toggle it within the app.
I’d suggest clearing cache in the ON app 1st.
If no change, uninstall the app & re install it.
