I’ve been wearing a Nucleus 7 cochlear implant for five years which may be on its last legs recently. I tried to have it connected to my Samsung Galaxy A7 Tab Lite via a Nucleus app and it can’t because “sound processor firmware update required”. What exactly does that mean? It requires a new cochlear implant? A software update?
It means you need to see your CI AuD and they will update your processor for you from the computer. I had my N7 updated last August during my annual mapping.
