Hi I have an appointment to see my audiologist in February and am going to ask about some possible adjustments to my hearing aids of really quiet sounds to see if they can’t bring up the volume levels to a level that i can make out sounds like whispers in films and quiet intros to some classical music. If they can’t make it loud enough then i was thinking of asking about either the nathos auto sp or the nathos auto up but one has 1st gen sound recover and the other has sound recover 2 and I’m not sure what if any difference there is between 1st gen sound recover and sound recover 2 if someone could clarify this for me i would be grateful also what does it mean when it says roger ready
Roger Ready is a program already set up on your Aids so when you switch the Roger Mic on, it’ll go to the right Roger program without you touching your Aids. As you are using the myLink, you can’t benefit from the Roger Ready feature.
Someone else will have to answer the Sound Recover question.
Thanks for that it now makes me wonder having read the information you posted if i actually need to be asking about if sound recover is turned on for me and if it is then maybe asking about switching to the nathos auto up with sound recover 2 as although i notice big differences since my last adjustments and getting the moulds there are still some quiet sounds like intros to classical music i am missing even with the music program set on my hearing aids also will still ask maybe what adjustments can be done if any to help with my current aids
You loss is too good for the UP but could work with the SP.
When is your appointment?
My appointment is February the 11th the only reason i was thinking about maybe the asking about the up is because of sound recover 2 which is suppose to be an improvement on the 1st gen sound recover but if they can give me the sp and get the sounds that are currently unhearable to be at level where i can clearly make out what i am missing when watching a film like whispers without the subtitles on or the quiet intro’s to certain classical music without struggling to make out if the music has started or not with the sp then that will be fine as i really want to just enjoy these things without any obstacles will just see what happens and update after the appointment
They’ll easily be able to increase the G35 which is for very soft sounds. Or if the G35 is not the right one, there’s G50 which is still classed as soft sounds, just not as quiet as G35
G35 = 35 dB
G50 = 50 dB.
Ok thank you it’s very important for me especially in terms of music as a trained audio engineer to be able to make out as many soft sounds as possible especially when mixing a track not only when listening to music
