Wearing Signia Silk 7 IX C&G (CIC)

Hi everyone, some of you know that i started my hearing loss correction about 6 weeks ago and i’m a diy’er. I just go to audiologist now and then just to solve “problems” i can’t by myself.

I started with a pair of SIGNIA ACTIVE PRO IX and they are really good for my loss and my needs (bluetooth is awsome for calling, music and tv…WOW), and now i bought a pair of Silk 7IX (cic) to wear in some situation like weddings, work, cerimony because they are more stealth. Once at a wedding people mistook me for a security guard because i was wearing my active pro ix  .

CONNEXXAIR for my signia silk is coming in two-three days.

The HA (cic) i bought online on ebay, arrived pre programmed with mu audiogram by the seller with a vented sleeve configuration so I’ve been able to try them for some time, they are great but i have a question on how to wear them.

when i put my CICs into the era canal I push them all the way down, they are pratically invisible, very impressive, but i feel like there’s something wrong because everything sounds closed, dull, as if I had cotton in my ears. If I pull them out a little everithing sounds normal but just because the HA are a little out from the canal and i think that sounds are passing through the ventilation holes of the sleeves. The HAs are still well fixed in the ear but more visible than before. Is it normal? I thought CIC had to be inserted all the way in, but if i do i can’t wear almost nothing. Maybe i have to try a close/power fit program to benefit the CIC?

let me know your knowlegde, cheers.

Are you using the same sleeves on both (Active X and Silk)?

It sounds like an occlusion effect, but since the Active IX and the Silk use the same type of domes, I’m not sure why you experience occlusion with the Silk but not with the Active IX. Going with the power fit will give you more occlusion (if that is what is happening).

@tenkan has more experience with the Silks, he may be able to help more.

There is also this setting in Connexx that may help:
