I just discovered to my chagrin that the M90-R is not compatible with the M90-RT. I have a set of M90R hearing aids, but one of them makes annoying pops every so often, which basically makes it annoying enough that you probably wouldn’t want to wear it. So I bought an M90-RT on eBay, figuring it would mate with the good M90-R, but unfortunately, Target says it is not compatible. I suspect I could use the two together, but they won’t share Bluetooth, but I haven’t tried. Interestingly enough, Target also claims this one is a Trial, but it doesn’t say trial on the side like my other trial HA. I also know that the M90-R is not compatible with the M70-R, which I used to have, but passed on to a friend. If anyone would like to swap an M90-R for an M90-RT or vice versa, I’d be happy to oblige you. Or if anyone knows a way to make them “compatible”, that would be great too! And anyone having any info on why Target thinks the M90-RT from eBay is a Trial HA, but it doesn’t say so on the side, I would be interested in that too.
Thanks,
Rob
Yeah what a bummer, I would of thought the T was for tcoil which would of worked, but I’ve seen that before no trial written on the housing, and yep you could use them independently but of course that defeats the purpose of using them, as in the extra features, what about returning for item “not as described” I believe @PeterH has tried grouping different models before, hopefully he’ll have some advice.
I haven’t had any success in pairing different models. I can certainly understand why M70 & M90 won’t pair due to the differing elements of Autosense 3. Maybe the telecoil only being in one aid, presents a similar issue??
Running them separately, as you say, will mean Bluetooth will be only to one HA. However, they’ll work fine with both Roger and TV Connector.
I know you can link a Phonak Sky L70 SP and a Phonak Sky L70 M together to work as one.
You can’t link a NHS Phonak Nathos Nova M and a Phonak Naida M70 SP together so that is why she got the kids set up and better Aids!!
My friend has the set up.
The MyPhonak App also works fine.
