Want to try DIY programming, need aids too

I’m 63, a 15 year hearing aid user. The best aids I’ve found so far, are the simplest: KS 7.0 with disposables. I put them in my ears, and forget they are there. They are not too loud, they don’t squeal, and they’re comfortable. In the past 2 years, I’ve tried 2 OTC brands (Lexie Bose B2’s are pretty good), and even went to a professional fitter (Oticon Real miniRITE T style) who promised to help, but seemed to kick me to the curb once the purchase was made…got my money back on those.

I want SIMPLE RIC hearing aids, like the KS 7.0. Disposable batteries, volume buttons on the aids, and that’s it. NO smartphone connection, no TV connection, nothing fancy.

My KS 7.0’s have broken now. One side eats a battery in 2 hours, the other one has a broken battery tray. The KS 7.0’s are so old, Costco won’t tune them any more, and they are not DIY tuneable.

So, where can I get some simple aids (maybe even the Rexton equivalent?), and some guidance in tuning them? I already own a Noahlink.

Thanks,

Yeah I’d go straight to your nearest Costco, Jabra (Resound) or the Rexton (Signia) are premium models with the “simple” price, you don’t have to use the “fancy” features, OTC are not suitable for your level of loss, all the latest brands are DIY.

Not sure about other Costco’s, but my Costco no longer sells hearing aids with replaceable batteries…I’ve asked several times. I’ve had rechargeables, and will never buy them again.

I have a set of KS7’s which are still in good condition plus the wireless connector needed to adjust them. Pm me if interested.
