I spent the afternoon trying to get my aids to connect to my new HI-PRO using the Target software on my Windows 10 desktop via the RS232 to USB Adapter.
I finally googled the model number of the Belkin RS232 to USB adapter (F5U109) and found this page:
Under the tab “Version 2” I downloaded the driver for Windows 7/8 and installed it. After restarting the HI-PRO, my aids immediately connected.
Apparently, Windows 10 didn’t include the driver for the Belkin adapter. But the Windows 7/8 driver from the Belkin site appears to work.
Hopefully, this will help someone else if they have the same problem.
Nice going! It’s always a chore when the Hi-Pro acts up.
Remember to check whether the Hi-Pro firmware is updated either within target or with the stand-alone Hi-Pro utility.
Thanks. Looks like my HI-PRO firmware version is 3.00. I don’t see how to update it in Target. The “Updates” Tab seems to only pertain to the Target software. Is that the latest HI-PRO firmware version?
