On mine when I go to bluetooth setting on my iPhone X it only shows that the Right aid is connected which is correct. I have also had some issues in the past similar to what you are discribing but they seemed to rectify themselves (see below) and it hasn’t happened again. My suggestion would be (if you haven’t already tried this) is to go into Bluetooth on your iphone and where it indicates - R-Phonak HearingAid - Connected - there is a little i in a circle - click on that and then click on Forget this Device. Try and repair again. That usually seems to solve the problem.
