Tweaking Danalogic Ambio 77's

I’ve sourced a second-hand pair of (ex NHS) Ambio 77’s and set them up with an
In-Situ Audiogram.

The Danalogic fitting software (1.18) seems not to have any “feature” to control “impact/transient” noise reduction that I can find.

Anyone dabbled with these and found out how to reduce that type of sound?

Yeah you should have that feature, Impulse Noise Reduction or similar.

Google is saying that Ambio doesn’t have it. Only the Ambio Smart.

Yeah it’s strange AI says it does, so it’s worth noting it’s wrong again

I’ve tried the Resound fitting software and, as mentioned elsewhere on here, the Ambio’s are not recognised. So, unless it’s tucked away under a different name in the Danalogic fitting software, I accept the Ambio 77’s don’t have it.

@Tenkan, @Zebras Thanks for the info folks.

Yeah that’s a real bummer, it’s hard to believe they’d take this away.

It is not on the regular Ambio, only the Ambio Smart.

I have a set of Ambio Smart’s issued by my local NHS hospital, to be honest I turn it off as it’s more annoying than anything for me.

That said, if you’re easily startled I can see it being a benefit.

Aside from Impulse Noise Reduction, you also miss out on Binural Directionality III + Spatial Sense and frequency adjustment up to 8Khz compared to 6.3Khz on the Ambio.
