TruHearing Flyte 700 "ReSound FL762-DRW"

Hello,

This is my first post and I am new to using Hearing Aids. I have been fitted in both ears with the just released TRUHEARING Flyte 700 which are bluetooth enabled and connect with the Iphone.

Surprise, surprise the Iphone reports the model as a ReSound FL782-DRW and they are compatible with all ReSound remotes and streamers and the ReSound Iphone app as well. In fact the Flyte tuner app is just a rebranded ReSound app.

I have been losing my hearing for several years and straw the broke the camels back was when I could not hear my little grand daughters tiny high pitched voices.

I have had them about a month and have had very little problem adjusting to them. I am using small open domes in both ears. TruHearing works with my medical insurance company so the price was quite reasonable.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Right 20 15 15 10 30 45 60 95 100

Well, I see that my post from the other site got carried over to the new site

Just an update, it has been about 14 months since I got my hearing aids. I sent them in for a one year checkup and surprise, surprise, they replaced both of the hearing aids with new electronics.

I have not had any major problems with aids with the exception of when they twice beeped in my ears and turned the volume to zero which is the main reason I sent them in besides for a 1 year check up.

I had a new ear test and it did not change enough to make note of. I took to these thing like a duck to water. If fact after the first week they turned off the adjustment program. I can now hear my little grand daughters high voices as well as my wife.

I paid less than $800.00 per aid with my insurance and cannot really complain. I so far appear to be the only one that has posted that they are using the TruHearing aids. If you are using them, please post and let us know.

Thanks,

I picked up my new set of TruHearing Flyte aids today! I am replacing a pair of Costco KS6, which are the equivalent of the first generation ReSound Linx. Mine are FP962-DRW, what Flyte calls their model 990.
These are equivalent to the Linx2, not the latest Linx3D. The TruHearing price for a Humana customer was $999 each. That’s less than Costco is charging for their new Resound Forte which is based on the Linx 3D.

So far I am delighted. The audiologist set them up for what he called an experienced user. I was using earmolds on the KS6’s so they made a new set of molds for these. I like the ear molds much better than messing around with the different kinds of domes. They stay in my ears and eliminate any feedback.

I was amazed at how many more sounds I am hearing. It’s almost like getting my first hearing aids 8 years ago. I haven’t been in any challenging situations yet. I paired my Resound TV Streamer up with them with no problems. Just turn the aids off, press the pairing button on the TV Streamer and turn the aids back on.
Now the Streamer shows as a choice in the TruHearing App.

I have an appointment to go back in 2 weeks for a checkup. The Audi said he wouldn’t count that as one of my 4 free visits. I had already installed the Truhearing app on my Iphone and played with the Demo program. The Audi went thru how the different options worked. The app has controls for wind, noisy rooms, and speech focus, plus the bass and treble controls I had with the KS6 app. He set up 4 programs:
all around, restaurant, party and music.

So far so good! I’ll post another update when I have used them in more challenging situations.

Just what I was looking for, thank you. Nobody wants to give you an answer to "Flyte 990 is a ReSound (what?)

I have moderately severe hearing loss in one ear and moderate hearing loss in the other and it’s time for HA’s. I have Harvard Pilgrim Stride and they offer the 770 and Flyte 990 with copay of $1400 and $2000. I could not find a review for the 770 or the 990. With the info that you provided perhaps I can find more info on the FP962-DRW.

I’m looking forward to your update.

Again, thank you.

Steve

I was happy with the Flyte 990s, but a subsequent MRI found that I have a problem that will cause me to lose all hearing in my bad ear. Truhearing allowed me to trade in my Flyte 990s for a Phonak BiCros set, even though I was beyond the evaluation period.
The latest ReSound model that Costco carries cost $2600, and the big difference seems to be remote programming. That could be worth $600 if you are a long way from a Costco. The 990s worked great with the Iphone. You can download their control program from the App Store and run it in Demo mode to see the features. I miss all those controls! The Phonak is supposed to automatically adjust to noisy situations but I never know what program it is using.

They Flyte’s use the larger size 13 battery, so you can get a full week’s use before you have to change them. I have almost a full box of batteries that Truhearing sent me. PM me your address if you get the 990s and want them.

Give the Flyte’s a try and see if you like them.

I believe the Flyte 990 to be equivalent to Linx2

Linx 2 differs from Resound 3D based on software, additional app features, and remote programming.

Linx 2 differs from The Resound Forte (Costco version of 3D) based on software and app features - Forte does not have Remote Programming.

Haven’t heard yet if the new Costco Resound Vida will (or won’t have remote programming)
