I am travelling to Egypt from Canada. We are 110V and Egypt is 220V. My Phonak Chargergo RICsphere Unfinio… has no information listed for voltage on the base…everything else I own has voltage 110 - 250 or such numbers but maybe I just don’t comprehend what the information on the charger means.
I have plug adapters with C and F that are required there that also have USB slots. Do I need a voltage converter as well? I would hate to fry the charger!
Thank you . I found it on the actual plug! The actual writing is so small and inconspicuous I would NEVER have seen it.
Thank you. It looks like I should be fine!
You bring up an important scenario regarding voltage which tenkan resolved. Having made the trip from USA to India & older cities in Europe many times - but NEVER with rechargeables, I’d also recommend an extension cord, cuz at least where I’ve stayed overseas, sometimes there is simply NO power outlet to safely plug in the charging base.
If you have battery-powered backup aids, take them, too if you have cinderblock ears like mine and simply can not function more than 10 seconds with NO aids.
We are staying at AirBnBs, all of whom have offered us, extensions with half a dozen plugs! We also have a couple of adapters we used in Spain and Portugal wth a couple or three USBs on each. These are my first hearing aids and I am barely used to them so if worse comes to worst, I will have to go back to saying, pardon me, huh and sorry what did you say!
You can always take a power bank as a backup, I used one in Japan last month. Which meant I could top up on the go. Although I think your Sphere charger has a built in battery, with enough for 2 or 3 charges.
Thanks. Yes, my charger does have a built in battery and is supposed to be good for three charges. The power bank is a good idea. I keep meaning to get one. Now might be a good time.
