I have trigeminal neuralgia in one of my ears. I am getting first hearing aids. I use a specially compounded topical medication that calms down a flare, but leaves a lot of residue in the ear.
Has anyone used a hearing aid washer? I saw one advertised that not only had UV light for sterilizing the aid, but also had a wash cycle using a proprietary cleaning fluid. I was skeptical of this, because I thought water was the enemy of a hearing aid (in my case a RIC), but am trying to figure out a way, aside from trying to keep the ear free of debris, and using wax guards, to keep the receiver clean without damaging it.
