Thrive W20 by Microtech

Someone gave me a set of these the other day. They are small, RIC aids that take a 312 battery. I found the Microtech website, and they seem to make a lot of different models. They did not seem to have a lot of information regarding this model. Can anyone on the forum provide more information? Since I already have late model Phonaks, I seriously doubt that I would want to wear them. I would just like to learn more about them. Is there programming software available? What did they cost? Do they have any value on the used market?

Poking around a bit. They seem to be made by Starkey. They don’t seem to be OTC as they require a hearing aid professional. Presumably there’s programming software available, but suspect it may be tricky to find. I imagine cost could vary a lot depending on source, but the W20 is the low end of the line. Wild guess of ~$2000 a pair from a hearing aid provider-- I would guess pretty low value on the used market. They seemed to use a different wireless tech than bluetooth in that they said it was 900Hz (same as many cordless phones I think) Hope this helps

  • Yes, there are several models. Here’s a clip of Premium Models below.
  • Yes, Starkey Inspire fitting software +Plus using a special key to indicate MicroTech
  • Not too tricky

Thanks PVC. Wonder if a Noahlink wireless would program them. I did download Starkey software, but if it requires additional stuff I don’t have, looks like I am out of luck.
I don’t even remember where I originally got Target, but the good thing about that is that updates are no problem, and I keep mine updated to the latest.
They aren’t bad looking aids.

Hi, I have Microtech Summit hearing aids but unable to connect these to inspire (starkey) software. If you have got the key, can you please send me, so I can connect the Microtech devices to inspire software. Regards
