l have the Naida P70 UP aids and mostly streaming tv during the days due to the pandemic and the 675 battery last 14 days depending on your loss of hearing and everytime l watch TV, l used the myphonak app to turn off the microphone to save some battery power.
By the way, if you are streaming you can change the balance between microphone and stream audio also with the buttons of your hearing aid. You donāt necessarly need to open myPhonak app.
that is true but l use the phone all the time so itās no brainer. l donāt want to wear out the switches of the aid so l use the my phone app.
I have a P90-13/CROS-13. Previously I had a Audeo B/CROS II with a ComPilot II. For incoming calls, the ComPilot had an option to announce that call with a sound and then the callerās name or phone number. Is there such an option for the P90? My audiologist could not find one.
Iām 99% sure Iāve seen that somewhere. However, Iām 100% sure I canāt find the reference. Iāll keep looking. A thoughtā¦you can download the userās manual for your hearing aid. I think itās in there.
My P90s will tell me the caller. But that is a function of the phone not the HAs. I believe in Android it is under āaccessabilityā menu.
and what about your smart phone? Does it have button batteries, or is it recargeable?
Hospitals have power points and patients bring their chargers there. With the rechargeable HAs it is just another charger.
But using it 18 hours a day and streaming on top of it is too much. You should sleep more. You can have sweet dreams.
I think the function is a part of āSpoken alertā. (from an iPhone) Once you pair the ComPilot II to your phone, tap the information icon, and you can choose to āSync Contactsā with the ComPilot II. This will allow for the callers names to be announced.
However, check whether your P90ās are compatible with the ComPilot II. It is not with my Naida P90 UPās, only my previous Naida V90 UPās.
Why would you need the compilot if you have P90s?
He wonāt be needing it, it wonāt work with Paradise.
The Compilot II which l have for my older aids will not work with the Paradise prism-based platform aids. I have the second generation TV Connector and works perfectly with my P70-UP aids.
First time HA user. Decided to go with ks10. I use for phone, TV, streaming. There is no 2 second switch that I have noticed. No 5/10 second of lost hearing. Streaming, TV, phone calls all as seamless as any Bluetooth headset. IMO, this is more of a phone issue than HA.
Finally found an Android solution. In the Phone app Settings, at the bottom under Advanced, there is a Caller ID announcement setting. I set it to Always and I am getting announcements now. On previous aids with the ComPilots, this was a ComPilot option. Note that this is on Android 12 with the Google Phone app on a Pixel 6 Pro.
Waiting my P90 312 x2 to arrive. Noah wirelesses is ready, hope everything will be ok.
So this Paradise is 8 year better tech than my old onesā¦
To think my aids worked cca 58.400 hours!!!
Receivers are changed, but microphones did their jobs. They are probably insensitive by now⦠Cant wait brand new onesā¦
Also new features⦠And to get rid of that damn weight around my neck⦠compilot⦠wearing it for cca 10 h-12h a day for 10 yā¦
Good Luck with your self programming @sanjin.antulov, I hope everything goes wellā¦. Cheers Kev
Thanks you.
They arrived. I get them from eBay. In my country I have been quoted 4.750⬠for pair. Sure, 550 from my health care, and rest from my pocket. I spent 2500 ⬠on pair of P90 312 on eBay. Brand new. Almost 2k ⬠saved.
Audi did set it up from picture from target of my old pair, but it wasnāt right until I did rem in my ears, turn off sound recover and now I am amazed how well they sound after 10 year old Audeo Spice+ IX.
I can hear almost every quiet sound (a lot of gain in quiet enoviriment I see) and also speech recognision is much better.
I had anoying BT adaptive static and thanks to this forum I saw solution⦠fixed birtrate and unpair/pair solved it.
Also delighted I donāt have to wear anything around my neck anymore.
Peopleās hear me a little worse on phone, more surrounding noise than with compilot, but I donāt care. Itās my revenge to all that peopleās using hands free when talking to me and torturing me that way ā¦
