Hi all – we’ve been testing several hearing aids with LE Audio (unicast) and Auracast using the Avantree C82 USB-C adapter. Thought it might help to share a quick summary:
Interesting that the Oticon Intent “Works but not stable” but the Philips 9050 works when they are similar and made by the same manufacture. Not saying you are wrong – you have done the testing – just that it is interesting.
Has to be a software issue. Supposedly the same hardware, just different firmware and programming. I wouldn’t expect the hw to work that differently in this particular area. The peripheral areas of these aids from Demant all seem to be really close in how they work.
Hmm… these are customer-submitted test results, so there’s always a chance that the hearing aids weren’t running the latest firmware from the manufacturer at the time of testing. So please take this with a grain of salt — we’ll continue updating the list as we gather more data.
Not sure why they say Oticon INTENT isn’t stable, because my INTENT aids with my Samsung S23 phone using le audio darn sure is stable and my aids aren’t even updated to the latest firmware update. I guess it depends on the le audio source that they used.
Sounds like your dongle firmware isn’t optimized for Oticon, because as @cvkemp Chuck mentioned, LEA is rock solid on his sammy, and it is on my pixel 9, but I don’t have access to your dongle, and I use the Oticon Easy LE Adaptor for my PC.
They’re not testing Chuck’s mobile phone guys. They’re not testing the Oticon Intent either. They’re testing a new device with a small sample of users. And we should know better than most… Give the same device to ten different people you’re going to get ten different opinions on how well it works.
