Stretta aya m nt hearing aid bluetooth issues with android

i have just got 2 of stretta aya m nt hearing aids and i have a Lenovo Tab TB-J607Z and can not make or receive a phone call via them,
I Just returned from Specsavers in Slough where they Tried to sort the issue out,
Initially they Installed the Signia app then set the hearing aids up, and the connected to the Tablets Bluetooth, i can initiate a call but i do not get ant sound in the hearing aids, they tried multiple like installing the app 1st, then the the hearing aids and visa verse, Nothing the have done can get them to work. they even called Stretta who confirmed my tablet IS compatible, its just android has to be installed a different way, that the store was not aware of, but they STILL do not work,

Any ideas or suggestions?

Seems that the “Lenovo Tab TB-J607Z” (Android Tablet) does not support ASHA.

ASHA = Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids.

I dunno if there are Android Tablets on the market which supporting ASHA.

Most Andoid devices not supporting ASHA.

Some of the high end smart phones supporting ASHA ( Samsung Galaxy S23 / S24 , Google Pixel series 5,6,7,8,9 , OnePlus 8 )

If you want to stream to the Stretta Aya hearing aid you need a device wich support either Mfi or ASHA.

Mfi = Made for iphone.
with iPhone and iPad you could stream to the Stretta Aya.

Google Pixel smartphone support streaming to Stretta Aya

I CAN stream audio, on the stretta website it’s the only Lenovo that does support it,
The issue is when I try to hear a phone call.
I can stream audio from YouTube and Netflix so I know I can stream audio
Device compatibility | Signia
Listed on the Signia app as compatible.

But phone call and streaming audio are two different types of bluetooth profiles, this could be the reason why only audio streaming.

i have also just installed a different phone dialler app on my Tablet with no change,
so i know its not the Tablet or the phone dialler app im using,
it MUST be something at the Stretta configuration/setting side of things on the Signia App with Android.

i have just emailed Signia and will post any reply i get

You require a tablet which supports LE Audio for full hands-free phone calls on android. Also your HAs have to be LE Audio enabled.
Idk of any tabs that do it.
I’m not familiar with the Stretta series, but most brands sell bluetooth media streamers, which will proccess Classic bluetooth from your Tablet, and convert it to Bluetooth LE for your purpose.

i have a normal Bluetooth headset that works fine with the tablet so i will go ahead and say Yes it does support LE audio, i have used 2 or 3 different head sets / Headphones that all work with FULL audio calls, that was 1 of the reasons for purchasing that particular tablet.

I don’t wish to argue with you, but the comms between your bluetooth headset, and tablet is using bluetooth classic, not LE audio.
LE audio is the proprietary protocol utilized between HAs and your device.
As @firenzel posted 2 forms of LE audio are ASHA for android, and Mfi for iPhone.
You have to acccept the fact your HAs are NOT compatible with your tab, and either purchase the streamer I mentioned in my above comment, or use your headset.

Bluetooth 5.1, A2DP, LE
Yes it has LE Audio,

i am gonna finish this chat as its going no where :frowning: as the tablet IS compatible with the stated specs

There’s 2 types BLE (Bluetooth low energy) and LE Audio which are two different Bluetooth, LE Audio needs 5.3.
