My chromecast seems to work ok with the Oticon TV adapter when watching Netflix, but if I cast YouTube I don’t get any audio. Any idea on how to fix this?
Are you casting Netflix? Is the YouTube app perhaps set on mute, or app volume control set at minimum?
Not sure. I don’t have Oticon, but from a Phonak point of view, these devices are often dependent on the audio source. Some require Dolby, some don’t. I have a Roger On, with Dolby base station. It would only produce a mono feed to my hearing aids, until I switched the sound to Dolby in the TV
Thanks Barry I might message Oticon support and see what they say. The streamer had 2 green lights on it so I think it was transmitting audio.
I had the same issue - I solved it by changing the settings on the iPhone so that audio from youtube etc. (in German it‘s called „Medien-Audio“, I do not know how it is called on an English iPhone) never goes to the hearing aids (the other two options are „automatic“ and „always hearing aids“). When I am finished with streaming youtube I usually change the settings back to „automatic“. I hope this was somewhat comprehensible and that it helps. Cheers, Oliver
