Starkey soundlens synergy IIC i1600 programming software required for self fitting, as hearing aids dispensers are not able to adjust my devices

Hello everybody,

I would like to ask to the community here if anyone has experienced this type of hearing aids, I suffer moderate/severe hearing loss and I’ve been using these devices since 2014, I bought a second pair in 2019 in Italy and found out the sound is really different then the first pair I bought in New York in 2014, I mean less speech, sound, clarity compared to the one I purchased in 2014, but I could manage since they were not so bad. Loved the original soundlens purchased in 2014, very clear speech and sound, now they are old but I fixed them many times and they are still working fortunately as I used them as a spare pair.
I would really love to have a software to make self adjustments with my computer, because I am very frustated to commute (which is a long way from home) back and forth from hearing dispensers for just an adjustment (most of the times not made well) and be unhappy with their adjustments, many times I personally tell them what to do to hear better with them, it really takes me down, first of all because an adjustment is a personal need and we must be happy with them, otherwise we don’t hear well.
The majority of hearing dispensers I have been get frustrated about me going and feeling unhappy with adjustments, plus they charge me a lot every time I had to fix the devices, consider I pay thousands already to buy the Starkey soundlens IIC and assistance must be included for the whole period we own them. By the way it feels like hearing became a luxury, but it’s not like that. The cost of hearing aids should be reduced a lot and make them more affordable.

To all the hearing aids company: please make things easier for us and cheaper, hearing loss is a big frustration for us, do not just be greedy for money. Big Thanks

Do any of you know where I can download a Starkey software to make adjustments on the devices? That would be very helpful for me, thank you.
Have a great week
Antonio

Head over to the DIY section of the forum.

As it’s a IIC device, the difference in sound could also be down to fit especially if they didn’t use the original impression from 2014.

Could be more hassle then there worth, you’ll need Starkey orange flex strip and cables, plus HiPro programming device for those older models by the look of it, don’t know if the later version of inspire is backwards compatible, but have a look through it and see if they are listed.
