Starkey ProFit cannot connect to hearing aids

I have Starkey Pro Fit software, latest version, connected to NoahLink Wireless 2, updated to latest firware, running on a fast Windows 11 computer. Pro Fit sofware is using Starkey’s PatientBase (database) program successfully. I launch the software from PatientBase, choose me (the patient), and go to “connect”. These HA need to be placed in the charger then removed from the charger, to enter bluetooth discovery mode, so I do that. Then ProFit, wirelessly, correctly identifies my hearing aids as Genesisi AI 24 and displays the serial number. Then I click on “connect” and the software tries for a minute or so, then announces “Pro Fit cannot connect to hearing aid”. This is strange because it already identified the hearing aids so the Noahlink and Pro Fit software appear to be working. I’ve tried everything: re-initialize the HA, bring them close/far from the Noahlink Wireless 2, help!

Try rebooting your PC, open profit and then connect Noahlink wireless, you’ll get the green led flash and now try connecting.

Turn off your phone.

Yes good point, can’t be connected to any other Bluetooth devices at the same time.

Thanks for your help. Yes, phone is off. Also tried turning off Bluetooth on PC. Tried tenkan’s advice: reboot, open profit, then connect Noahlink. Exactly the same behavior as before: Green led flashes OK. Noahlink/Profit succeeds in finding (and apparently connecting to) the hearing aids. It displays them on the screen, along with the model and serial number. All of this is great: we are apparently connecting to the HA. Green light continues to flash. But then I click on “connect” (which is the only option at this point) and I get a message “retrieving settings from hearing aids”. Green light stops flashing while this message shows for about 60 seconds! and then error message “cannot connect to hearing aids” and green light is flashing again.

Hmm, I’ll try reinstalling the Naoahlink Wireless Driver. stay tuned! thx all.

There’s a driver available for issues Noahlink wireless can have here, but if you’ve used and connected before you wouldn’t think this is the problem now.

reinstalled Noah driver, no help. Ran the Noahlink Wireless updater, no help. I’ll keep trying things, maybe reinstalling starkey ProFit software. Very strange that ProFit talks to the Noahlink Wireless which then connects to the HA, but when ProFit sends the command to download the HA data, it seems to stop talking to the Noahlink Wireless. When the error message pops up, they’re talking again. Thanks for the suggestions, I’ll keep fiddling and meanwhile I’ll watch very carefully next week when my audiologist goes through the same process on her machine.

I got it! The secret is this: after the Noahlink Wireless discovers the HA, you have to wait for about 20 seconds before clicking on “connect”. I’m not sure what’s happening, but it seems important not to interrupt this process. I have now downloaded my HA data from the hearing aids to the sofrtware. Thanks everyone for your help!
