Has anyone had the chance to try out all three—Starkey Genesis, Oticon Intent, and Phonak Sphere Infinio? I’d love to hear your experiences on how they compare and which one works best in different situations.
I tried both and for the moment I choosed Oticon Intent 2 but I am waiting for the Sphere Infinio, for a final test.
my experience
Genesis, metallic sound that I don’t like, no LE audio, they work very well in noise and are relaxed because the noise almost disappears and the edge+ is great in some ways, the battery also easily lasts longer than a day.
I should have taken the 24s because the 20s were too crisp for me, but also with the 24 ones the speech was sometimes to explosiv and hurts my ears, especially in my last comparing challenge, so I gave them back.
Intent, I think the sound is great, but I’m also used to Oticon, LE audio, battery easily lasts the day (22h+), also works very well in noise, but it doesn’t really reduce the noise but rather highlights the speech, if you are sensitive to noise you might have a bit of trouble with it, although the speech in noise option promises relief because you can reduce the overall volume
Here the 2 is enough for me, so I can save money because I have a bit of trouble with the distortion from 8+ dB suppression, 12 dB is a no-go because then everything sounds terrible
my test with the Phonak Naida Lumity was rather sobering because the battery in particular only lasted a maximum of 17 hours. It was just not enough for me, the new ones should easily last a day, I’m excited about that, the sharpness was also a problem, but I survived a day in Europa Park so they’re not that bad, but in quiet surroundings they can be quite loud at first when someone is talking
now that I have a Noah Link myself, I can test all the options more quickly and then hope to know whether I want the Sphere or the Intent.
