I just received my new Starkey ITC Edge AI24 hearing aids and am really liking them. One question though… is the Edge Mode only invoked on demand? I have one of the buttons on my HA programmed to invoke Edge Mode+ but the other day I could have sworn it was invoked without me doing anything. And a little ding could be heard from my HA.
Could someone clear my confusion on this? Documentation seems to be “on demand” only.
I have Starkey Edge AI RIC.
For me edge mode is turned on by double tapping my right aids.
That brings on best sound.
You have to manually change to enhanced speech or reduce nose in the app.
Edge on mine can be accidentally turned on by bumping them or sometimes when I take them off.
Not automatic. For me my edge is on double tapping. Definitely clearer sound . You can ask your audiologist to set the double tapping for you.
I was going to say its from the app only but its possible that it can be programmed to be a tap on your ears.
Must confess i didnt make a note of what my audiologist arrangee for my tapping. D’oh!
I will be getting new Starkey aids in November. How well do the new AI aids work for speech in noisey places?
That’s how mine is programmed as well. I just wanted to verify that it must be manually invoked.
I’m only 2 weeks in with these but they’re working great in the couple of times I’ve been in restaurants.
