Starkey Edge AI RIE

Received my Edge on Jan 28 and have been trying to use a function that convinced me to choose this over other aids.
It’s the Hear Share program which allows contacts to view the data the aids provide to me, steps, standing, exercise, etc…
I have discovered that while I had to have a newer phone to get the “fall detect”, there was NO mention of the need for contacts to have an older phone, which, IMO, is really ridiculous.
When my contacts try to download the Starkey Hear Share app they get a screen saying: “This app isn’t available for your device because it was made for an OLDER version of Android.”
However, if one DOES have an old phone, it does download and it does work. I mean, how idiotic can engineering be to create a problem like this with a new hearing aid release.
I called Starkey today and waited over a half hour to talk to an agent and then he needed to inquire from engineering but couldn’t access them at the time. He took my phone number and said he’d call back, probably in about 10 minutes.
It’s now over 2 1/2 hours and no return call.
It appears to me at least that they don’t want to discuss this can of worms.
