Standard ear buds

Which ear bud do user use for listering to music

I use my hearing aids, Oticon Xceed 1 UP. Great sound but I don’t have open domes.

Yes, good Q. I have tried a whole bunch of earbuds that were reviewed as “crazy loud” etc on other sites but ofc weren’t. Big, “great” brands like Apple Airpod Pro 2, Samsung Galaxy buds and numerous others I have tried are waaay too soft to be useful for me, even after boosting the volume of my mp3 files (set to 92 db using Mp3Gain, Windows). All of these appear to suffer from the EU threshold set at 85 db (thank you, Brussel nannies).

So what I use in the end are the excellent OnePlus Buds Pro. Its app takes your hearing test, you push all equalizer settings north and voilà, absolutely great volume (and bass!). Today I also tested Denon Perl Pro buds. These allow you to bypass the EU limit, and are similarly loud, however the tips fit my ears poorly (producing a tinny sound), so I returned those to Amazon.
