Specsavers elite bte hearing aids - which to choose?

My local Specsavers offer excellent service and generally I would take their advice without question but wonder what others think. I am switching from in the canal hearing aids to bte aids and the possible replacements are manufactured by Signia, Phonak and Resound (the most recent model) The audiologist recommends the Resound equivalent - what do others think?

All those brands make excellent hearing aids. And they all work better for some than others. No rhyme or reason. Your HCP’s skills are more important than which of those three you pick. I have Phonak sphere infinios and love them. Try the resound and see! Don’t be afraid to have them fix issues and if they can’t make you happy in the trial period change to another.

When you say bte do you mean receiver in canal? If so the Advance Elite could be Resound Nexia, I doubt it would be the Vivia, which is Resounds most recent model, but I maybe wrong. Phonak version is probably the Lumity, or a equivalent Unitron model. Signia version, probably Pure charge and go 7X. All good aids.

The Resound is based on a model which came out very recently, with a button to activate hearing in noise and improved AI. It’s only been available as a Specsavers Advance option since the beginning of July, so quite possibly based on the Vivia, so few reviews available I guess.

I don’t know if you are able to go to Costco, but if you can, you could save yourself £650. The Jabra Pro 30’s at £1350 are a rebadged Resound Vivia 9. Also comes with a free TV streamer or connect clip.
