Do any of you have a lead on a source for soft jaw pliers for working on hearing aids? I’m thinking micro- needle-nosed with little rubber-like tips…
and not nylon tipped. I have a pair of nylon jaw pliers for eye glasses and those jaws are too hard and slippery to get a grip.
My receivers stick down inside of the Phonak slimtip molds, and it’s nearly impossible to remove them for cleaning the molds without pulling on the wire.
If you have needle nose pliers, and want to save a little cash, consider getting some plastic tube (like fish-tank air) and slipping it over the needle nose ends. This should be pretty close in effect, I’d think.
I like it! I’ll have to look closer with my magnifier tomorrow to see how the wax guards come into play and to find something with a big enough diameter to not get into the receiver’s speaker. Thanks!!
