Hello- I am trying to connect my Jabra Enhance 500 units to my laptop using Resound Smartfit 2.01 and a Noahlink Wireless device. While I am getting slowly flashing green lights on the Noalink, (indicating Bluetooth connection?) I do not get hearing aid model displayed. Is it possible to connect with the Jabra units with this software? Thanks in advance.
Yeah not 100% sure these OTC types can be, but Jabra models only show up once connected, so these are rechargeable no doubt, you have to place them in the charger and then remove them (turn on in other words) you only get 2 or 3 min in pairing mode, one you remove from the charger try connecting again, restart SmartFit before trying to connect HAs.
I don’t recall anyone saying they have done a DIY project with these, so you could be the first.
Interesting. I am trying the connection immediately upon removing them from the charger. The flashing does seem to get more regular at this point, then a message saying something to the effect of no device detected. I am in Windows 11 and I have updated the Noahlink to current software. Other suggestions? What about a 1.x version of Smartfit???
Maybe an older version, but 2.0 is backwards compatible for most models from the last few years, where did you get the information that they can programmed with SmartFit software?
Jabra 500 devices are manufactured by Resound. I believe I saw mention online that when detected by Smartfit, they identified as the Resound model they are based on, one of the Vivia line.
No, the 500 is Kinda like the Nexia 5 level aids .
But I do not know if they will connect to Smartfit.
My apologies regarding Vivia vs Nexia. The latter was the first one that came to mind when I was typing. Searching around in this forum I have found several mentions of Smartfit and Jabra devices in the same forum post. No posts however detail the author being stymied when trying to connect the Jabra device w/the Resound software.
Here is a screen grab from a July 2021 post showing Jabra devices in Smartfit.
1.) Clearly these are an older model of Jabra devices (PM861 DRWC), and
2.) This is an older version of the Smartfit software (v1.1)
Still hoping that I’ve just misconfigured my laptop/Noahlink/Smartfit device setup.
Has anyone else had luck getting Smartfit to talk to their Jabras?
I connect my Jabra 20’s (came from Costco) and Nexia 9 to smartfit.
They are the same as the Neixia 9.
I do not have the select 500 so can not comment on them .

I think these are GN Resound … not Jabra
Make sure you have the bluetooth turned OFF on you phone before turning on the HA’s
Bt on phone has remained off throughout this endeavor.
Yes we’re well aware that Jabra are rebranded ReSound models and use SmartFit…but only select models NOT all models and especially not OTC, so I was saying that I haven’t been able to find a post here or anywhere that says the 500 are DIY, I hope they are it’s just I can’t find any mention that someone has done it, keep us posted, should be interesting.
I, too, am curious about this. I am currently demoing the Jabra EP20s after wearing the Jabra Enhance Select 200s for the last couple of years. The EP20s are clearly better but I’m still not happy with the way music sounds with either device. FWIW, I will never stream music with either since it sounds atrocious and there are many far better and inexpensive alternatives such the Tozo Open Earrings (clip-on bluetooth earbuds that allow you to hear traffic and voices and are often on sale for $40 or less).
I told the Costco HIS that the EP20s would be used primarily for music but I’m wondering if I might closer thru trial and error. If the ES200s/ES500s are also accessible via SmartFit and NoahLink, I might experiment with those and return the EP20s. Or try prescription HAs again once the Resound Vivia equivalent comes to Costco. Good luck, @portsample!
