Signia IX technology

In my opinion, I own a pair of I X technology hearing aids they’re not as good as my previous 7X pure , although they say they automatically pick up sound while people are moving. I prefer the 7X which you were able to focus on the person who was in front of you most times I operated my 7X in a surround mode but in a restaurant or at a bar, I was able to focus on the person I was talking to face-to-face, which dead and the sound behind me and made it much easier for the conversation to continue. I’m very disappointed with this. I technology with my new hearing aids I sorely miss my 7X pure I think it needs to be done by sigina is the teach seniors about the connection of their phone Bluetooth to their hearing aids that seems to be the problem with older people. They can’t seem to grasp technology eye on the other side like that idea of being able to focus my hearing aids on what I want to hear. I hope sigina in the future can come up with an idea to aid seniors in the technology side.

Welcome to the forum John074. I have never owned those aids but I am sure you will get some good feedback and suggestions.

So there aim , I’m guessing was to make it simpler to operate the hearing aids without integrating / use of going into your phone … in the new IX , most seniors detest technology, sigina was trying to eliminate that for me I think they may be hearing aids worse I was at a luncheon yesterday in Kearny, New Jersey or the sigana audio specialist was there and I wasn’t able to focus my sound directly towards the stage. I had to listen to all the people behind me and around me which made it harder for me to hear her with the old seven exes I was able to get out of surround focused to sound forward, therefore only catching what was coming from her such a great technology you’re unable to do it with IX I think it’s a major flaw. I think all hearing devices should have interaction with your phone to focus. The sound where you want to come from to me. It’s common sense.

Just the opposite here; but I do know how to use the tech so maybe thats a bit different. I was in a crowd (never been able to understand people very well at all in that scenario) and could clearly understand 2 of 3 people in front of me. The third person was about 10 feet away while the 2 were about 6 feet. The murmuring crowd sound seemed to decrease while the 2 people just cleared up! BTW…previously the crowd sound was overwhelming and I had to turn the volume way down. Focusing the mics is actually quite simple with the phone app. I believe most HAs use similar controls now fortunately or unfortunately for some. I am a senior and have no problems with the tech, love the aids C&G Pure 7IX.
