Signia IX 3 or 5 for Unilateral Hearing Loss

I have recently been diagnosed with unilateral hearing loss on the left ear; and in the process of buying a hearing aid. Since my right ear is perfectly ok, my audiologist advised to get only 1 hearing aid.

I have narrowed my search down to Signia IX.

My audiologist recommended for me to take the IX 3 since my hearing loss are flat across all frequencies. However, I am incline towards IX 5 for the additional features (Directional Hearing, SpeechFocus and Echoshield). Yes, I have tried both BRIEFLY (5 mins) but the difference are not noticeable.

So, I am here to see advice from users who are suffering from unilateral loss who are on Signia IX. Do you recommend the 3 or the 5? What was the reason for your selection?

Thanks in advance.

Which Signia IX? Is it the Pure Charge & Go IX or another?

The features need 2 HAs to work properly.

You’ve answered your own question here, the difference would be in the extra features in different environments, not a quiet office.
