Signia hearing aids, tv streamer and streamline microphone

I want to be able to hear my wife while I’m hooked up to the tv streaming device. My audiologist suggested the Streamline Microphone device would interrupt the tv streaming or input her voice into the stream so I could also hear her. I’ve not been able to do this. If I’m paired to the streamline microphone I can’t hear the tv streamer. Is there someway I can make them work at the same time?

No I don’t believe you can stream 2 at the same time, you could have the microphone attenuation adjusted to hear more environmental sounds.

Thank you. I believe you’re right.

While I stream the TV, the other person in the room has to get my attention and I pause the tv to listen to them. Its annoying but I otherwise don’t hear a conversation going on when I stream the TV.

Exactly my situation. I still haven’t given up. My audiologist gave me a Bluetooth experts telephone number that I will call tomorrow. If I find a solution I’ll let you know.

There is a setting in the Signia software (not on your phone) that’s called “mix with microphone”. This tells the hearing aid how much sound from the outside is allowed into the streaming audio. Mine is set at 70% (might be the default as I never changed it). You might think that is a considerable amount but the clarity of the streaming audio plus the fact we are hearing impaired seems to make outside sounds (i.e. someone talking to you) fairly mute. You could ask your provider to turn this up to 100% but keep in mind it would be like multiple folks talking in a room (streaming plus outside noise).

Thank you. I’ll talk to her about it.
