Ok sure got it, as for deletion of BT pairings, it’s weird that your Audi thinks that this has to be done like this with Connexx, you can delete and repair yourself,as you have done, like the streamline microphone from your phone for instance, and redoing the streamline tv, you get the same results, but regardless you got the results you were looking for.
Yes, one would think so, but I and others have tried clearing the pairings from the devices only and it doesn’t work. There is no way, that I know of, to clear the pairings on the HA side without using Connexx and, it seems, this must be done to resolve the conflict.
All of this underscores the reasons why I won’t likely ever become a self programmer. I find the minutiae of tech devices and all the little things that should work but never do maddening. And frustrating. Some folks have the background and the knack. If Tenkan lived next door to me, I’d try self programming!
Yeah I get what your saying, but it shouldn’t put you off DIY, because it could actually help with these annoying little things, I’ll take note that it has to be done with Connexx, you learn something new everyday!
Rick, did you see the audiologist? How’d that go?
After mine was reset, it’s still working fine (with my android non-ASHA phone).
Hey Jay. Everything is ok now. I had to show the audiologist the option in Connexx 9 - menu->service->delete all paired BT device and voila Everything works. Apparently, in the older version of Connexx this option was not. Thank you very much for your help, greetings
Unfortunately the problem returned today. I switched to the microphone, after about 15 minutes, 4 second breaks started The audiologist will like me more, I was 5 days ago. This is 100% problem with the hearing aid firmware
Gee, that’s too bad. Did anything else happen, like with the app, that might give a clue as to why? I guess you could try unpairing everything, from the Mic, from the phone, from the TV streamer, and anything else that might have been paired with the HA’s and re-pairing one at a time. I’m not hopeful that it will work, but it’s worth a try. If your audiologist has set up telecare, maybe he can clear the HA pairings remotely.
the following may not apply to this issue. the signia app on my iphone is (was?) flaky. My audi suggested that I delete all the other apps on my phone that I never or rarely usedd. Voila, it’s been consistently functioning for some time now. Coincidence? could be! more time will tell.
Streamline TV did not even steam. I just switched the Stremaline MIC to microphone mode, put it next to the soundbar to see how it works. Everything was ok, but after 10 minutes the known problem returned.
Today my phone came back with ASHA and honestly this implementation sucks (it often interrupts, or only one hearing aid works, people do not hear what I say during a call, etc.) I borrowed an old iPhone from my sister and it’s really cool. You do not need to upload the Signia app. Unfortunately, our streamline MIC has a great use with TV, PC, bike tours (does not interrupt).
I wrote to Signia (both .com and on .pl) but no response. They are certainly aware of the problem with the software.
The question is whether they will deal with it, whether we are doomed to buy a not cheap Noah Wirelless and clean BT pairings in Connexx9. Audiologists hate us that we come every week with the same problem (free option)
I’m afraid that might be the case
I have just spoke to Signia (UK) tech support, apparently this is a known issue, the tech told me that he had 3 other cases of it …. And there was nothing he could do as it’s a firmware issue not a hard wear issue, he advised me to get another and swap between them every 2 weeks or when it happens
Apparently there waiting for a fix
Hello
the problem appeared again?
Just had the exact same problem trying to make a telephone call, connects for 10 seconds then dropout for 3-4 seconds and re-connects and repeat.
Tried all the unpair and re-pair in order and same result.
Performed a test between the HA and the Mic with the phone un-paired using the Mic as a Mic and the dropout is the same. I thought it was a Bluetooth stack issue on the phone but this seems unlikely after that test.
Have now performed a Clear Pairing on the Mic using these instructions and will test again.
Performing the Clear Pairing on the Mic did not resolve the issue, raised a ticket with Signia support as was told the following:
Yes, it is a known issue that can occur under specific circumstances… you need to make sure that your aids have the latest firmware installed by your audiologist (ie. Have you visited them very recently? The very latest version of firmware for your aids was released in the past 48 hours and is in Connexx 9.11.5 – please check your audiologist has this version and ask them to update the firmware on your aids)
My current firmware is 20.18.691.2 if this helps anyone else.
Hello
what model of hearing aids do you have?
Today upgrade Connexx to 9.11.5 and upgraded the firmware of my Pure 7IX and the problem with Streamline Mic is fixed.
By the way, do you know the firmware of your Streamline Mic? I have 1.13.5 and Signia says the firmware was not upgraded never.
Mine are C&G 7AX ITC no idea about the Streamline Mic or how to find out.
Updated the firmware today by two versions to 20.19.818.2 the agent did not know how to clear the bluetooth pairings so that could not be done.
Followed this sequence and the problem remains, I agree with the opinion that the critical step is to clear the pairings from the HAs.
So, I have version 20.15.669.2 installed in my C&G T 7AX’s which is the same as I had back in April when I visited the audiologist to have this issue fixed. See post 13. Since the Audiologist deleted the Bluetooth pairings and the Streamline Mic and phone were re-paired, the issue has not returned. In fact, I thought Signia probably had resolved the problem, since there haven’t been any posts for some time, but apparently not. Since my firmware appears to be a couple of generations behind, it would seem that that is not the problem and points toward using the Connexx software to delete the pairings as a fix.
Thanks Jay,
After talking with Signia Support they have recommended I go back to the Audiologist for “advanced diagnostics” I will ask them to “Clear the Pairings” and retest.
Just wish there was the ability to do that the same as there is on every other bluetooth device even the Streamline Mic by holding … + - for 10 seconds until it flashes RED - RED
