I purchased a. Few spare receivers for my LiNX² aids. They work great except the wire is shaped wrong and the dome continues to pop out of my ear.
The original fits great. The wire and dome are the same size. Anyone know
a way to reshape the wire., since it always seems to go back to the original shape no matter what I do.
@Um_bongo’s post recently explained the wire bending is heat sensitive. You warn a round rod and form around it. Don’t get it too hot, of course.
Yes, a hairdryer is plenty warm enough.
Just an update after talking to my Audi we found there really is no good way to reshape the wire since the older style SureFit receivers are a heavy wire and will spring back into shape.
The resound sure fit wires I purchased are the older ones so I bought a new style medium power SureFit 2 online from Hearng Direct.com in
Great Britain. These have a thinner wire that doesn’t spring out. Works great and fits perfectly. A $100.00 savings by doing it myself. So glad I found this on line company since no one here is the states seem to sell ReSound parts on line.
