Service dog information

I took my dog to learn how to train her to be a service dog
She had to pass a basic obedience test and one for community access
Come, sit, down, stay, up, watch me, leave it

Stay when stepped over, stay when grocery card flies by , or food dropped in a restaurant, stay under a chair (which she does at my doctor visits) etc
Needs to have specific task

3 tasks which keep me safe when not wearing aids or sound too far away

Doorbell, phone ringing Touches my leg to bring me to door or phone
Go find mommy - Touches my leg to bring me to husband

Hotel, TSA, stores, restaurant etc can ask you what the dog does. I reply “hears for me” To truly be a service dog they have to do work and if not you can be told to leave

TSA asks you how training was done and contact info for trainer. If you take your dog for AKA obedience training perhaps you could list trainer and then teach your dog the work task you need.

She is my sidekick that likes to work keeps me safe in a hotel at night when I am “off the air”without hearing aids Not a pet with a free ride

Your story reminds me of the real life story of Sue Thomas, a deaf woman who worked for the FBI with the help of her hearing ear dog, Levi. She was featured in the TV series F.B.Eye (2002-2005). It is available on several streaming services.
