SeboTek

Any experience with SeboTek hearing aids? Thanks!

I should also ask about Clear-tone.

Same company.

Any opinions?

No. But there are always things to consider regardless of brand. How good is the fitter and are later adjustments easy to obtain. Are supplies provided? Additional domes and wax guards can add quite an ongoing cost that you should factor in. What will the unit cost compared to other brands over the life of the aid?

I looked at them. On paper the look great but all aids seem to manage that. I do think that a first time user is better served by a fairly local source. Getting started with aid is a complex process. It is easy to become frustrated if the quality of the fitter or the business model doesn’t serve that complexity.

Thanks Ken. As always I appreciate that you take the time to look these things over.

Wife went an Audiologist 2 days ago. A great old lady, probably our age. 30 years in the same old location. But using equipment that did not strike me as modern. But she did appear competent. Many old customers. Funny: Her daughter said she will retire but is waiting for more of her clients to die off. The audiologists says she is sticking with it to have something to do and not be forced to stay home and babysit.

I got her through United Health Care:

She gets a small amount of money to handle their clients here in Jacksonville, Fl.
People travel long distances to get to her, since their network in not big.
She does this more as a service, making only a token amount.

Next visit is today to another much advertised audiologist. They will be paid for the test which I know everyone provides for free. But I want no obligations.

I ran across Sebotek via this site:

Probably end up getting the aids from CostCo.

This company seems so cool:
Management Team | Sound World Solutions Love their app, but the aid seems big.

Just a thought:

How long do you plan on keeping these aids and will she be around to service them?

I Know, so true.
