Roger On Stereo Sound Gone?

I’ve been using my Roger On (V1) and hearing aids (Phonak Audeo L90-RL) for work and leisure by plugging the USB directly from the Roger On device directly into my computer.

Without turning the Roger On switch to on, this would automatically transmit any audio from the device it was plugged into directly to my hearing aids. This configuration worked for over a year for me without any issues.

After either upgrading the firmware on my Roger On device or my audiologist upgrading the firmware on my hearing aids, I seem to have lost the stereo audio output of my Roger On device and the Roger On device is also crashing in the middle of being used - usually when I am using it to output audio during a meeting for work, meaning that I cannot hear anything until the device reboots. See attached picture for the error on the display.

I’ve already successfully reinstalled the most recent firmware several times, but the issue persists. Not having stereo sound from my device is a minor inconvenience, but it’s odd that I had it before but no longer do. The larger issue is the Roger On device crashing, which will ultimately lead me to having to wear a headset, and means I won’t be wearing my hearing aids.

Any other thoughts on the issue(s)? Is there any way that I can rollback to a different version of firmware?

@Zac You might try resetting the Roger On. Hold the main button on the face of the Roger and the Select button together for 10 seconds.

I have had the loss of stereo happen a couple times. The first time my Audiologist had to reach out to Phonak for advice and they had me reset the Roger. The pair again and away you go. When it happened last time, I knew exactly what to do. I haven’t had crashes since the last firmware upgrade. I used to reliably crash it by having it in the dock and send audio at the same time I powered it on. Not nice. Just a second or so delay in applying audio prevented it. But I’m impatient.

@raylock1 ’s method is the deal. Go with it.
