I think is worth mentioning cheapest hearing aids and how they are performing in real life.
Rexton Inox 5A CIC is one of them , costs about 100$ each piece , have 8 channels but only 4 MPO handles, is full customisable : you can put your own audiogram anf fit your self with Fit2Go app (only android) , it also have Rexton app for volume control on your mobile device (Android + IOS).
My surpise was to see that freqency range is from 100Hz-8000Hz , which is great for such a cheap hearing aid and indeed (depending on amplification program) it is really amplifying low frequencies .
- voice and sound overall is OK, but is not comparable with expensive devices
- have only a basic noise filter .
- it won’t fit you ear canal perfectly , no matter waht dome you are using
- it has a lot of feedback and can be lowered with lowering the voice or lowering average aplification
- closed dome will give you echo, vented dome will give you a more realistic sound experience but wiht some loose on low frequencies
- ftting range is narrow , below 65dB on high and below 45dB on low frequecies … it only fit people with mild to moderate hearing loose.
It has a lot of cons, but hey…for 100$ is a great deal.
I’m using them when I can’t use my Resound Linx Quatrro , or just for fun.
