Resound vivia 9 behind the ear a good choice

I just exchanged my resound, Vivia, 5 and decided to upgrade to the Vivia. 9. Can anybody tell me what the advantages are from going from the 5 to the 9? My audiologist said, if I don’t like the vivia 9,I can go back again to the 5 and save myself a $1000.

The Vivia 9 has more frequency bands to adjust your hearing aids. That may be an advantage if you are DIY programmer or your audiologist is willing to spend the time to dial-in your hearing aids.

The Vivia 9 comes with a better noise reduction program and settings to allow you to hear in more difficult noisy settings.

If you frequent settings were background noise is a problem, then the Vivia 9 would be the better choice. If you are a DIY programmer, then the Vivia 9 would be a better choice.

Note that you can buy the Jabra 30 at Costco which is essentially the same hearing aid at a much lower cost. I don’t recommend Costco if you have to drive a long ways to get to one or if you are not a DIY programmer and you live a long ways from Costco.

If your audiologist is willing to spend a bunch of time dialing-in your hearing aids, then the extra money may be will spend going to a private practice.

Note the jabra ep30 is at the 9 level. Really hard to beat that price if you are close to one. 6 month refund eligibility.
