ReSound SmartFit: difference between Nexia and Vivia

Out of curiosity, I started SmartFit 2.1 with simulated Vivia HAs. I don’t see any difference to the Nexia models. No AI program, no mention of AI at all.

Do those options only come up when real Vivia HAs are connected? Am I doing something wrong?

Not sure, but I wouldn’t think the AI is “adjustable” as such, I haven’t checked them out in SmartFit myself, I should do this, so nothing in the features at all?

Let me know if you find anything. I didn’t.

According to some YouTube videos, the wearer has to manually enable AI either via the app or via button push on the HA. I would have expected a new AI program, or maybe a new option how to configure the buttons. But nope…

the DNN/Ai feature is called Intelligent Focus and this feature is only available for the rechargeable Vivia 9 (Akku)

You need to simulate Vivia 9 rechargeable ( VI960S-DRWC ) because only this having the Intelligent Focus feature , whereas the Vivia 9’s with replaceable batterie not having Intelligent Focus , the Vivia 9 with replaceable batterie have Clear Focus instead.

the following is an excerpt from the whitepaper:

The DNN-Chip is called “Intelligent Noise Tracker” which segregates noise sources from speech signal.
Intelligent Noise Tracker is incorporated in a feature called Intelligent Focus for the most effective listening in noise.
Intelligent Focus combines the efficiency of Intelligent Noise Tracker (DNN-Chip) with an upgraded 4-microphone binaural beamformer for better hearing in noise. This feature is the default setting for the Hearing in Noise program and like its predecessor, Front Focus, is accessible to the hearing aid user via the ReSound Smart 3D app or the onboard hearing aid push button.

Oh very interesting, only rechargeable tho, clear focus won’t be the same as AI, so it’s limited to battery voltage again, that sucks.
