I’m in the music program( I always use this program). Now there’s a small problem, when I watch youtube it seems ok how it sounds, but if I go to another room and talk to someone + TV on, it’s not so clear anymore(everything around always sounds a bit low in a bit like this. Now when I listen to music on my phone connected with the device I don’t like how it sounds. But I’ll wait until tomorrow, the day after tomorrow until I get used to it I guess. What formula to try and where to try it?What exactly does the tone generator do and how to proceed for resound smart? Thanks so much for your help!!!
You should try to get the all around program set if at all possible for single HA, the music is not designed for speech map anyway.
Yeah so you need a separate program for these situations, change over to all around program for taking to people, then you want to set up another program for “speech in noise” for when there’s a bit of background noise.
Is this streaming or the phone speaker?
You could try them all to find the one you like, DSLv5.0, NAL 1 or 2, Audiogram + is Resounds own, most people will stick with this, and NAL 2 so try them and see.
Well you can use this to find out which frequencies are off or which ones you can or cannot hear, helps you adjust the gain handles in SmartFit.
Did you read both user guides I sent you, as it’s very important to read these first before making changes.

I’ve tried All Around, but I can’t get used to it.I got used to “Music”.I used to have Resound Linx3D and heard great with the “Music” program - 3 1/2 years I had no problem.

With linx 3D I had no problems with the call.

I’ve tried several tuning formulas and I chose DSLv5-Adult, I find it ok.But I hear some amplified sounds so to speak, but it bothers me when there is automatic noise it reduces a lot the voice and the voice of someone else and I don’t understand what he says and it’s really disturbed.

I’ve read the guides you sent me, but I was very curious to try and fix it as soon as possible.
I have a question:Is there a big difference between Resound Linx 3D and Resound ONE?Does Resound One have more features than Linx 3D?Is it more powerful than Linx3D?
Thank you very much for your help!!
Tenkan, what do you think of my answers?
Hi again, hey it’s interesting with the music program you mentioned, I couldn’t at it’s default settings use “music” in every day situation’s, simply because of the compression, directionally of the microphone feedback manager (DFS) etc seems you’ve got got used to it over time.
- I guess it depends on how you had your 3D set up for calls, acoustic phone or T-coil or again you just used the “music” program for everything.
3.With your streaming, you can change the way it sounds in a number of ways in the software
- DSLv5-Adult, Yeah so that’s a relatively linear like formula, some people find it overly loud to begin with, less compression more natural sound for some, I don’t like it myself, but everyone is different, I still think you should try again with the party or traffic programs for when your in noisy environments, just something you’ll need to try and get used to.
Yes the Ones are what I use at the moment, I still use the Linx2 and have used Verso onwards, the ones can be got at a pretty good price on eBay if your interested, a decent model over the 3D for sure.
Hi Tenkan and thank you so much for your help and reply!
Yes, I got used to this program when I started wearing Resound Linx 3D from 2018 and it stayed that way. With 3D I didn’t have the T-coil.
Now I have Resound One 961 with 312 battery without T-coil.
I’ll try with streaming but can’t find where to modify for streaming.
On point 4) : “DSLv5-Adult, Yes, so it’s a relatively linear like formula, some people find it too loud to start, less compression, more natural sounding for some, I don’t like it, but everyone is different, I think you should try again with party or traffic programs for when you’re in noisy environments, just something you’ll have to try and get used to.”-I’ll try it with the party program and get back to how.
Now I’ve adjusted a bit more but I some sounds or the voice seems to be amplified (i.e. when I say something it sounds like there is resonance) and I wanted to ask you if I change the GAIN from 100% to 90% and the db 50 to go higher, do you think I’ll get rid of that amplification I was talking about?what do you think? Thanks Tenkan and with all due respect!
I’m trying to drop an “s”, especially when I watch youtube, tv or conversation I keep hearing an “s”.How do I drop it?Should I select 6K and 8K and go lower?Should I drop an “s”?What do you think? Thanks!!!
This link has a graph that shows what sound frequency each letter is in
Have you got sound shaper on, you can turn that off and then see how much it affects this issue.
The S-SH Confusion Test and the Effects of Frequency Lowering - PubMed.
Shound Shaper is off.And it’s still on.Why is that?
Yeah just looking at that, well it should be off for the music program, uncheck it in SmartFit under “advanced features”
But it is possible and I noticed and I don’t know if it is related.I see that they have been chosen small dome but I have dome power size L.Is it related and is it necessary to be changed from small to large?
Well this depends on the fit within your ear canal, you prefer lager size for a better fit right? small or large won’t matter, but if they change the type of dome, say going from an open to a closed or closed to power dome then yes it would matter.
i have a set of Quatros which I have tickled for some time useing !.12. Now i have a set if Omnias and need a copy of Smart fit 1.!8, I would be obliged if you could pass me the link please? I have an Airlink2 thank you.

Hello everyone! New to the forum. I’m trying to help my father with his tinnitus starting with activating Tinnitus Manager using Smart Fit 1.17. I already have a working Noahlink. Would someone be able to send me a link to download Smart Fit? I would appreciate any help! Thank you so much!
Welcome to the forum, sure, great you have your Noahlink wireless, do read the user guides as it’s very helpful for setting up the first time, I find the tinnitus controller in SmartFit especially good, very easy to set up.
Thank you very much! I’ll start reading the manual tonight
Arrrgh! I just upgraded to Nexia from Enzo2, (transfer done at the audiologist)and went to my laptop to tweak the settings. But my laptop battery has died and it won’t boot. I have another laptop, and I have Smartfit release 1.6.0.353. I haven’t installed it yet, but I am assuming this is a full version, just by the file size 1.11GB. Will I be able to upgrade this to whatever rev wall program the nexia?
Much Thanks in advance…
UPDATE:
It was the charger, so laptop is back in action. Now another hurdle - I use the laptop just for Smartfit, so it is still on WIN7. The Smartfit update says it needs a minimum WIN10 to run. I can’t seem to find a 7 to 10 updater.
So, 2 things-
Does anyone know where to find a 7/10 updater?
Or does the Smartfit update really need W10 to run? I mean, looking at the size of the Smartfit update (as compared to my 1.6 version) it looks like there are vids in it, and I don’t need any of that.
Advice?
Oh that’s a bummer, yeah should have no problem updating it, 1.18 is available.
