I am making progress!! I downloaded smart fit 1.18 and was able to enter my audiogram with Noah 4 and everything seems to be communicating. My issue is that I have significantly greater hearing loss in my left ear and when my audiogram was imported and when I do the ‘fine tuning’ it seems to want to adjust binaurally, but I need to customize my left ear in particular for the greater loss. I think I am missing something pretty basic in defeating the binaural feature so I can tweak each ear / aid separately. Any help?
It’s the Noahlink wireless not the Noah 4 which is a totally different software you don’t need, but did you read the user guides, because it’s easy to adjust separately, actually it a good way to program ones HAs, get each one how you like.
Thanks tenkan. I will read that. Noahlink loaded the previous users audiogram into smart fit and it seemed I couldn’t manually enter mine so I figured out how to install Noah 4 and use the audiogram module to enter my audiogram data and then Noah 4 (server) stored it somewhere so that the next time I loaded smart fit, it showed the updated (my) audiogram. FYI…I bought used hearing aids on eBay as the original owner passed away a couple months after buying so I am reprogramming them from his specs to mine.

Yeah sure, but all you need to do is make up your own client, this is where you enter your details including your audiogram, you can then program to your heart’s desire without the Noah 4 software, by the way are you using the “free trial” of Noah? It’s rather expensive to buy! I’d uninstall it you don’t need it.
WOW! I can hear everything now. I updated my audiogram with Noah 4 (I am using the trial and will delete that now that Smart Fit has my correct audiogram) and after some trouble with assigning the aids (bluetooth issues) I was able to assign aids, program separately…actually didn’t need to do much as the audiogram was good. I followed some guidelines from the " ReSound Smart Fit – Your first fit" youtube video and am now walking around hearing so much more than before. I am hearing my dog lapping water out of her bowl in the other room. I think it will take awhile for my ears to get used to more sounds. I purposely didn’t increase the gain after some experimenting as I think it would be too much too soon. Thanks for your help. The Smart Fit software has a lot of capabilities that I will probably learn about and use more into the future…
Fantastic, always good to hear about a successful DIY project, yep over time you’ll get to dial them in more, one thing I did was take my laptop to a busy coffee shop in our local mall to “help” set my restaurant program up, I got a better result but unfortunately hearing in a challenging environment is still a challenge ; )
