You don’t say what ReSound HA’s you are using. I am using ReSound Quattros (961’s) and iOS 15.4 and the Smart 3D app work fine with those. If anything, it seems the app connects a little faster and reports battery charge, etc., faster than under iOS 15.3.1. Haven’t had a chance to adequately test streaming connectivity, though, yet.
My aids are the (Costco version) VA862-DRW (R+L) as reported by Accessibility>Hearing Devices.
Phone connectivity is fine; I just was on a call minutes ago. It’s only the app that doesn’t work. It says I need to pair the aids, but they obviously are paired.
Have the same problem here. Have had my Resound aids for about three years with no problem on the app. Since the 15.4 update they are no longer paired and I have not been able to rectify the problem. Any advice would be appreciated!!!
OP back with good news for my issue. First I deleted the app and reinstalled; no joy. Then I deleted it again, went to settings|accessibility|hearing devices and selected the paired aids. I “forgot” them.
Downloaded the app again, went through its steps, after several steps it gave me a link to accessibility|hearing devices and told me to go there and pair then return to the app to finish. I did the re-pairing and returned to the app. It went thru several steps and questions, then all worked again.
I had done 2 things, updated to iOS15.4 and turned location services off; it is possible that either or the combination caused the problem; my GUESS is the iOS update.
Your suggestion worked for me with the Resound HA. Forgetting the HA in settings also forgot my Nucleus 7 so I had to repair that as well. Both Nucleus Smart app and Resound Smart 3d seem to be working now. Thanks for the help. I did have to do the pairing with the HA twice.
I experienced the same issues since update…. I have done different things to get them back up and running with them stop working everyday and have to refigure the smart app and forgetting the hearing aids in system and than repairing… so I wrote to resound smart help…. Here’s what they told me to do…
Could you please take ALL the following steps, in this specific order, even if you’ve done some steps previously?
Delete the Smart 3D app
Unpair your hearing aids, under Settings > Accessibility > Hearing Devices > ‘forget this device’
Turn your phone off for 30 seconds
Turn your phone on
Download a ‘new’ Smart 3D app
Re-pair your hearing aids, under Settings > Accessibility > Hearing Devices
Open the app and follow instructions to complete connection
Please let us know if that resolves your issue.
Just did this today and all is running well, we shall see
just for info:
I’m not sure if this is related to the new update but I had my HA’s in (1’s) for a couple hours this a.m. and went to open my app and it was on demo mode… I tried closing and reopening the app several times, I then re-booted Iphone, and it was still stuck in demo mode…
I eventually deleted app and started fresh AGAIN going thru the process of …
Delete the Smart 3D app

I had that issue when I updated to 15.3. Very frustrating. Sometimes my HAs worked but I had to go through settings to get the connection to my phone to work. No one else on the forum mentioned any issues when I posted about it. I’m using ReSound Prezas and iPhone 8.
Thank you! I wondered about updating the Smart 3D app. I think since I’m already messed up I’ll update to 15.4 and, if problems persist, I’ll follow the steps you so kindly laid out. I was kind of hoping 15.4 would fix the problem. Apparently not.
Well I was hoping that setup fixed everyday, But I have too reinstall either everyday of every other day…. Very disappointed in resound for poor software update….
Have you checked that your Resound aids are on the latest firmware? If they are not, then that may be why you are getting problems where others aren’t.
My ReSound Prezas were updated @ Costco when I went for help with the issue of having to go to Settings daily to restore auto connection to my phone. Updating didn’t help. Still having to check daily before I depend on my hearing aids working with phone.
Having had no problems with IOS 15.3.x on my iPhone 12 Pro, I updated to IOS 15.4 on Monday and today the app stopped working. I had to go through the whole pairing with the phone and the Smart 3D app thing to get the app working again. Very irritating.
