If it was purely adjustment of the sound then surely it would also be distorted to normal sound?
If I play the same piece of music on the phone speaker the hearing aids amplify it and it sounds okay. But streamed it’s terrible- exactly like an overdriven speaker distorts the sound. Apart from the mic picking up that buzz they work well to external sounds.
Perhaps I have missed a setting? But I assumed streaming and normal would use the same settings?
No they’ll be different just like all other programs, I’ve managed to get mine sounding pretty good, so I’m sure you’ll be able to get something better then what you have at the moment, did you mention what domes you have or are you using molds?
In SmartFit, in the streamer tab under gain adjustments, take a look at the MPO settings. Those may be too low. You can compare with what they are in one of the standard programs.
Also if your audiogram is telling you that you are outside the fitting range for M&RIE, then you are wasting time and money playing with it.
You need size 2 or 3 wires on the receivers. Personally I found that with size 2 the wires pressed too hard on the top of my ear where it joins my head making it sore, so I use size 3, but if you go to an audiologist they will measure it and tell you the size you need.
Good advice from Dave there, also I’d point out that all my music is playing through a music player “PowerAmp” it’s fantastic and cannot be compared to the stock Sammy player, so many settings and the equaliser is second to none, you’ll be able to get music sounding as you like it, you can also add streaming sites (I’ve never bothered)
Hi Tenkan, just found this thread, I have bought my wife a pair of resound one hearing aids, but have found my smartfit 1.1 software is too old, and I cant find a link for a later version. Last used it with her Zpower rechargeable hearing aids about 4 years ago, so any help with finding a link would be greatly appreciated.
Hi there, sure it’s available, as you already have everything else you’ll be up and running in no time, those zpower were not good, I had many issues with mine, ended up going back to standard.
